The beginning in Cardiff, Wales

Hello Wales, or to be more precise, Hello Cymru  (Cam-ry).  The Welsh name of the country.

It is time for me to get going with this diary/blog, I already have so much to say, it is overwhelming.

My husband has decided to take a sabbatical leave and work in Wales with a well-known professor in his field for 7 months. Cardiff University is located in Cardiff, the capital of Wales.
My husband, Zoltan left the US on January 9th, 2012, and I followed him on the 2nd of February. This way he had time to get to know the place a little and find an apartment (excuse my French, ‘flat’) to rent for us, which was not easy.
Thankfully, I was granted a 6 month unpaid leave from the university so after this adventure I’ll be able to go back and pick up the job I left.

For me it was a little hard to say goodbye to our daughters, but they are amazing young ladies and very independent, I’m positive that they will be just fine; and hope they will be able to come and visit.
I left from Indianapolis on a Thursday before the Super Bowl.  It was Indy’s airport ‘s busiest day, live band was playing, volunteers greeted everybody but I had no problem at all.

From London, it was a 3 hour ride by bus.  Excuse me; by coach.

Bordered on the east by England and on the west by the Atlantic Ocean and the Irish Sea.  3 million people live in Wales and Cardiff is the capital city with 341,000 people.
The weather is mild, it is winter now, but not too cold, and often raining.  Today is 41F, and raining.
The flowers though feel that spring is coming, because they started to bloom.
